MULTIPLEX

Futurity EP

Titonton

A1 • Isotropic
A2 • Consider The Crisis
B1 • Encompass+Engulf
B2 • The Notion

Released in late April 1998, this was the last of the original Multiplex records to come out before the labels twenty year break. Mastered by Robert Henke at Dubplates & Mastering, this one contains four incredible productions by US artist Titonton Duvanté!

Elements of jazz and funk mix with the clear influences of early Detroit techno and electro, and there is a great attention to detail in the programming of the sort after release.

The straight kick starts the journey on "Isotropic", but soon layers of percussion and organ keys are intermingling as you are engulfed in supreme break beat action. Things get even funkier on "Consider The Crisis", a timeless, pure motor city electro track.

The intense acidic "Encompass+Engulf" kicks off the flip side, before Titonton starts evolving "The Notion", the deep acid cut that conclude the super current Futurity EP.
